On April 28, the RA TAES Minister Armen Yeritsyan met German Red Cross (GRC) Baden- Wurttemberg Provincial Branch (BW PB) provincial school Docent –Expert Wolfgang Schmidt, also responsible for ARNAP-GRC BW PB Cooperation.
Minister Yeritsyan expressed his gratitude to Wolfgang Schmidt for long-lasting cooperation.
Today, on April 22, RA Minister of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations (TAES) Mr. Armen Yeritsyan visited Ministry of TAES Crisis Management State Academy (CMSA) to get acquainted with the process of Crisis Management Center (CMC) dispatcher training courses second phase being held from 13 to 23 of April and implemented within the frames of United Nations Development Programme joint project “Strengthening national capacities for disaster preparedness and risk reduction”. Within the frames of the courses German Red Cross (GRC) Baden-Wurttemberg Provincial Branch (BW PB) provincial school specialists together with CMSA lecturers and CMC specialists hold professional courses during the ten days of the training on crisis management legal essentials, technical structure of the control center, stress and stress management, conversation maintenance, first aid on telephone and other topics.
On April 15 in the “House of Hope” charity center “People with disabilities issues” thematic group working meeting was held. The main objective of the meeting was to discuss the recommendations suggested by the new partner: Armenian Relief Society (ARS) for further cooperation and joint projects.
Representatives from Disaster Risk Reduction National Platform of Armenia/ARNAP Foundation, RA Ministry of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations, ARS, “Unison”, “Full Life” and “Support to Communities” NGOs, State Employment Agency and Oxfam office in Armenia participated in the meeting.
During the meeting ARS representatives introduced their organization, the field of their activities and proposed to launch a new project regarding the employment and other issues in the field of DRR that adults with disabilities usually face with.
After discussing the idea with the participants it was decided:
• ARS will introduce the project after 24 April.
• ARNAP will circulate the suggested project within stakeholders.
• Relevant recommendations will be suggested by partners.
• In case of a necessity one more meeting will be organized for project discussions.
Reduction National Platform (ARNAP) Foundation, RA Ministry of Territorial Administration and Emergency According to the Memorandum of Understanding signed in November, 2013 between Disaster Risk Situations (MTAES), MTAES Crisis Management State Academy (CMSA) and German Red Cross (GRC) Baden-Wurttemberg Provincial Branch (BWPB) provincial school within the frames of “Strengthening national capacities for disaster preparedness and risk reduction” project implemented in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) the second phase of dispatcher training courses launched on 13 April, in the CMSA. Specialists from GRC BWPB provincial school together with CMSA lecturers will hold professional courses during the ten days of the training on crisis management legal essentials, technical structure of the control center, stress and stress management, conversations maintenance, first aid on telephone, consecutive development of complex situations in the control center and other topics.
On April 11 tree planting event was organized in the territory of RA Ministry of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations (MTAES) organized and Disaster risk reduction national platform/ARNAP staff also participated in the event.
