Norayr Ghazaryan


Born in 1993, on May 3, in Yerevan. In 2000-2008 studied at No 38 school after Belinski. In 2008-2013 studied in Yerevan State Industrial College. In 2011-2013 served in Armenian military. Since 2014 studies in State Engineering University of Armenia.

Since 2017 is a volunteer at Disaster Risk Reduction National Platform.

Armenia Participates in 2017 Global Platform

The Armenian delegation, headed by Davit Tonoyan, RA Minister of Emergency Situations, departed for Cancun, Mexico, to participate in 2017 Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR). The Global Platform has been organized by the Mexican Government and the United Nations International Strategy for Disaster Reduction (UNISDR).

The main goal of the Global Platform is to enable governments, NGOs, scientist-experts of different countries as well as UN agencies to exchange their experience and develop a strategic guideline for bringing to life the DRR Global Agreements (Hyogo and Sendai Action Plans) and presenting 2015-2017 accomplishments in DRR field.

STRENDTHENING THE FIRE-RESCUERS AND HEALTH WORKERS’ WORKING CAPACITIES OF GORIS CITY

On 20-21 May 2017: “The Minimum Initial Services Package (MISP) in Emergency Situations” training was implemented in Goris city for its fire-rescuers and health workers.

The aim of the training was to transmit appropriate skillsand knowledge to the fire-rescuers and health workers that will enable them to organize as well as provide emergency reproduction services to pregnant women and those giving birth to a baby which, in its turn, will decrease and prevent the mortality and morbidity rates.

Results of the Child Sensitive LLRM Implementation Guideline Piloted in Khashtark and Getahovit Communities of Tavush Province

On 18 May 2017 a preparatory seminar on “Piloting of a Child Sensitive Local Level Risk Management (LLRM) Methodology Implementaion Guideline in Khashtark and Getahovit communities of Tavush Marz/Province’’ was held in Dilijan Town within the frame of the Disaster Risk Reduction National Platform’s (DRR NP) project “Ensuring children’s safety through building resilience of communities and education institutions” funded by UNICEF and the European Commission under the DG European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations Programme (DG ECHO).

Training for Fire Rescue Teams and HealthWorkers of Meghri and Agarak Cities

The training on the Minimum Initial Services Package (MISP) in Emergency Situations was carried out for Megri and Agarak cities’ fire-rescue brigades on 7 May 2017 and for medical workers on 8 May 2017.
