First practical work within the framework of the “Hospital Safety and Readiness for Response to Emergency Situations” project

June 25-27, 2020: We carried out the first practical work within the framework of the “Hospital Safety and Readiness for Response to Emergency Situations” project at “Vagharshapat Hospital” SCJSC.

The goals of the project were:
1. To study the hospital with the World Health Organization (WHO) “Hospital Safety Index” methodology, to identify threats to hospital safety, structural and non-structural safety levels of hospital buildings (foundations, columns, beams, load-bearing walls, power supply, water supply, sewerage, ventilation, etc.), examine the management system of the hospital, especially in the context of emergencies.
The study was carried out by the expert’s group of the RA Ministry of Health. The information gathered is currently being analyzed.
As a result, the experts will provide the ARNAP Foundation with a study report, which includes recommendations for raising the level of hospital safety.
