Unmanned aerial vehicle made in Stepanavan’s “Youth Innovation Resource Center” was used for search work.

Recently Stepanavan region’s police officers have applied to Stepanavan’s “Youth Innovation Resource Center” with a request to use the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) of the center.

The police were looking for a missing resident of the Yaghdan community. According to the preliminary version, the citizen appeared in one of the nearby canyons. Taking into consideration the difficulty of this area, it was necessary to use one of the center’s UAVs. The information was given to the police and after examining it citizen’s entry into the valley was excluded.

The UAV, as well as the “Youth Innovation Resource Center”, was established within the framework of “Strengthening Disaster Risk Reduction National Platform Capacities in Armenia” project, implemented by ARNAP Foundation and UNDP, funded by DG European Commission’s Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection Department (ECHO).
